The eighth stage of the Dakar Rally is adjusted. The adjustments are the result of the heavy rainfall in Bolivia. The organization has announce that the route from Uyuni to Salta (Argentina) what is about 892 Kilometers will be driven in another way.
There was going to be 492Km on high speed but because of the heavy rainfall, rivers are flooded and the have to delete 72KM of the track.
This will influence the motorcycles, quads and cars. For the truck drivers will be held a special stage. This stage will be 174Km, after that the will drive straight to Salta. So that means a big reduce in kilometers for the truck drivers.
